Customer challenge
- Contracted by Red Rooster Corporation, our client, MTB Projects managed the complete rollout of renovation their restaurants to accommodate the addition of fried chicken to their menu. EDSI Solutions provided the electrical services for these projects.
- As well as full electrical services for each renovation, existing switchboards needed upgrading in order to cater for the higher electrical demand of the new commercial deep fryer appliances.
EDSI Solution
- Performed compliance audits on existing electrical infrastructure.
- Assessed the power available from each switchboard and supplied and installed the scope of works for what was needed to achieve with new commercial cooking equipment being installed.
- EDSI also assessed each site for all dilapidated / out dated electrical outlets and lighting supplied and installed the upgrades.
- This included all lighting upgraded to LED and ensure all electrical services were compliant with current electrical standards.
- Switchboard upgrades were custom built, tailored for each individual sites.

- EDSI Solutions, in conjunction with MTB Projects enabled Red Rooster to roll out the city wide fried chicken strategy within to all timeframes.
- Red Rooster’s crunchy fried chicken is touted as crunchy and golden on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside.
- We achieved this through fixed scheduled shut downs and delivery strictly adhering to tight timeframes.
- Limiting restaurant downtime, EDSI was able to leave each store ready for kitchen upgrades as the equipment was rolled in.
- Stores were able to effectively receive new commercial appliances, plug in, turn it on, and they were good to go.
- All electrical installations completed, deemed safe and certified.
