Customer challenge

  • A charger had been installed by a platform model type business previously and Pacific Fair approached EDSI Solutions to repair faulty non supported charger. 
  • The existing software was locked during commissioning
  • As it was a non ‘brand’ or standardised product, Australian support and spare parts were/are not available for the product in question.

EDSI Solution

  • EDSI conducted an initial site inspection free of charge, ascertained the requirements and then designed the correct solution to meet all the recognised needs.
  • The current solution consisted of a Schneider Electric wall mounted 7kW unit with dual charging points. It was discussed with Pacific Fair that a 22kW unit could be used, however Pacific Fair optioned to re-use existing cabling that could only support 7kW.
  • Following the install, the EDSI team conducted comprehensive handover training on the technology with the Operations Manager, onsite Parking Manager and the parking Concierge team.

3 Month Assessment of EV Data revealed:

The Result

  • Average of 4 charge cycles per day.
  • Average charge duration of approx. 40min.
  • Average energy usage of 5kw/H per charge cycle.
  • Pacific Fair’s Cost Recovery Model option will include additional 22kW units linked with charging app.
  • Service Model option will comprise of additional 7kW units as user uptake benchmarks continue to trigger.
